2026 Final
The second leg of the 2026 Holt Shield Final took place at Ballyclare Golf Club on Sunday 4th October. Starting with a 5-0 lead after the home leg a couple of weeks previously, Cairndhu got the guaranteed half point they needed when the the Cairndhu Team Captain went 4 up with 4 to play in the third match. At this stage Ballyclare had already won the second match. The four remaining matches were deemed halfs, hence the result shown at 3-2 for Ballyclare, and 7-3 overall for Cairndhu.
Congratulations to Cairndhu, winners of the Holt Shield in 2026, and commiserations to Ballyclare, Runners-up.

The first leg of the 2026 Holt Shield Final took place on a fine day at Cairndu Golf Club on Sunday 20th September. Cairndhu proved very strong at home & took a 5-0 result to Ballyclare for the second leg.

2026 George Stuart Memorial
The competition took place at Balmoral GC on Friday 7th August. Full results can be viewed on the George Stuart Memorial tab.
2026 AGM
The 2026 Annual General Meeting took place on Thursday 19th February at 7:30pm, in Dunmurry Golf Club.
The Minutes of the meeting are now available on the AGM/EGM Minutes page.
The only change for 2026 to note is that the Entry Fee has been increased to £120.

The Holt Shield was founded in 1963 at a meeting in Belvoir Park GC, Belfast, NI.
Initially, the competing Clubs were from the Belfast area but over the years Clubs from the surrounding area also joined.
The first winners of the trophy were Clandeboye in 1963 and the most recent in 2025 were Cairndhu.
