2025 Final

Congratulations to Cairndhu Golf Club, winners of the Holt Shield in 2025. Taking a 3.5/1.5 lead from the first leg at Cairndhu to Belvoir Park, the Cairndhu team got over the winning line with a win in the second match, and going dormie up in both the third & fourth matches.

Our thanks to both teams for the competitive but friendly nature of both legs, true to the spirit of the Holt Shield.

The first leg of the final took place at Cairndhu GC on Saturday 11th October, in fine weather.

2025 George Stuart Memorial Competition

This year's George Stuart Memorial Competition took place on Friday 1st August at Ballymena Golf Club.

2025 AGM

The AGM took place on Thursday 6th March, 7:30pm, in Dunmurry Golf Club, with a good representation of Clubs.

The Holt Shield was founded in 1963 at a meeting in Belvoir Park GC, Belfast, NI.


Initially, the competing Clubs were from the Belfast area but over the years Clubs from the surrounding area also joined.

The first winners of the trophy were Clandeboye in 1963 and the most recent in 2025 were Cairndhu.
